why does Players have 1/2 their TVs not working in the big room for weeks now?  yes, it costs alot to fix them i bet, i also bet we have poured alot of nomey into Players' pockets, so what's the hold up Players???

if our viewing parties, emphasis on viewing, are being hindred... then perhaps we should find a place with actual, working TVs!

Mike (one of the owners) recently talked to us about the TV situation.  Unfortunately each time he fixes one, another one breaks, and apparently he had some shipping miscommunications which caused more delays.  As far as we know now, he has back up for the blubs, and hopefully this won't happen again.

I spoke with Mike recently (at the Hawaii game, 8-30-08) about the TV's in the large room after noticing how good they all looked.  He told me that in addition to the bulb problems he has had -- bulbs not lasting as long as they are supposed to, etc. -- the continuous flickering problem that plagued the bank of giant TV's in the large room was actually caused by a switching device that was not synching well with the projector type TV's.  It has been removed and placed in the front dining room with the brand new wall of 42' LCD's (check them out!), and the flickering issue has been completely eliminated on the projectors.

The owners of Players worked hard in the off-season to rectify "viewing" issues, and Mike said he feels very good about how things will work this season.  The Gator Club says, "Thanks, Mike, and GO GATORS!"
